These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Gloria Movers’ services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our services.
1. Definitions
- “Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to Gloria Movers.
- “Customer”, “You”, or “Your” refers to the individual or entity using our services.
- “Services” refers to the moving and related services provided by Gloria Movers.
2. Services Provided
Gloria Movers offers residential and commercial moving services, including packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and unpacking. We also provide storage solutions and specialty moving services for items such as pianos, antiques, and artwork.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1 Booking: To book our services, you must provide accurate and complete information about your move, including the origin, destination, and any special requirements.
3.2 Estimates: Any estimates provided are based on the information you supply. Final charges may vary based on actual services provided, additional requests, or unforeseen circumstances.
3.3 Payment: Payment terms will be outlined in your contract. A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. The balance is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
4.1 Cancellation: Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled move, your deposit will be refunded. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled move may result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
4.2 Rescheduling: Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the original moving date. We will do our best to accommodate your new preferred date, subject to availability.
5. Responsibilities
5.1 Customer Responsibilities: You are responsible for ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and labeled. You must also ensure that pathways are clear and that any special instructions are communicated to us in advance.
5.2 Company Responsibilities: We will handle your belongings with care and take reasonable measures to prevent damage. We are not responsible for items that are not packed by us unless there is visible damage to the packaging.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1 Liability: Gloria Movers is not liable for any loss or damage to items unless it is due to our negligence. Our liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the service provided.
6.2 Insurance: Basic coverage is included in our services. Additional insurance can be purchased for high-value items. We recommend that you obtain additional insurance coverage for valuable or irreplaceable items.
7. Prohibited Items
We do not transport hazardous materials, illegal substances, or items that are not adequately packed or prepared for transport. If such items are found, they will be removed from the shipment, and additional charges may apply.
8. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through informal negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be referred to mediation or arbitration in accordance with local laws.
9. Changes to Terms
Gloria Movers reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Gloria Movers operates. Any legal actions or proceedings related to our services must be brought in the appropriate courts of that state.
